The job system transforms turn based battles!



Final Fantasy 5 allows your characters to adopt any job. You aren’t forced to commit to them either and are able to swap jobs on the fly.



Characters gain abilities by leveling them up. A skill gained from one job can be equipped as secondary skills for other jobs. Setting up for some wild combinations.


Ever wanted a monk that can cast fire spells, now you can!


You want a Fighter that can heal your party while also protecting everyone against bosses that do big damage? Now you can!


I generally don’t care for turn-based rpgs. Random encounters slow the pace of dungeons; they feel like a drag to get through. Over relying on the leveling system, making the game either too difficult at a low level and too easy at a higher level. It puts me to sleep, looking at you Final Fantasy 1!


With the job system random encounters are more meaningful because you want to level up jobs at any opportunity.


On top of that the customisation available allows for all types of strategies in battle, especially in boss fights.


I crave flair in my turn based RPGS, something akin to the likes of the Persona and Atelier series.
